The BigPike XXL boat trailer is designed for boats that are 5.4-6.6 meters long and weigh up to 1850 kg.

Why BigPike?

The idea for BigPike trailers came from over 10 years of experience with bass boats. As an avid sports angler who frequently fished alone and traveled extensively, the founder was unable to find an American-style trailer for their new deep V boat on the European market. With over 20 years of experience building rally cars and other vehicles, they decided to create BigPike trailers to meet the needs of those who value convenience and efficiency while fishing.

BigPike trailers are fully adjustable to keep the boat low, much lower than traditional trailers with rollers. They are designed for easy launching and parking in any condition. The boat stays very low on the trailer, between the reasonable-size C-class aluminum wheels. This makes it easier to tow the boat on twisty roads and to launch it on the water, as the boat will start swimming faster. It also helps with parking, as the boat stays securely on the trailer. The big wheels provide a smooth ride.

If you forget something in the boat while it’s on the trailer, no problem – BigPike trailers have welded steps in the rear part and strong enough wheel covers that can hold up to 100 kg of weight. Getting in and out of the boat while it’s on the trailer is also easy. BigPike trailers are easy to use and designed with convenience in mind.

Technical Solutions

The BigPike trailer is built with technical solutions that ensure durability and stability. The frame is constructed from 100×40 mm cast iron with a 3 mm wall thickness. The bent parts of the frame keep the trailer elastic and low profile, making it smooth to tow with a car on any road. The frame is designed to carry up to 2500 kg, providing ample strength to support the weight of your boat and allowing for accidental overloading. The leaf springs are a 3000 kg version, while the brakes and towing couple are rated for 2300 kg. We use only CE-certified parts from Knott or Al-ko, made for the European market.

The double-axle construction of the BigPike trailer allows it to carry heavy boats. The axles are “floating,” meaning that their position on the trailer can be adjusted. First, we put the fully equipped boat on the trailer and then adjust the axle position to the right place. This feature allows us to achieve the perfect balance on the trailer – the boat is in the perfect position and the weight is evenly distributed, with about 50-70 kg on the trailer coupling. This ensures a smooth and comfortable drive at any speed.

The brake system of the BigPike trailer, including the hand brake and safety brakes, is built into the frame to keep it safe when launching the boat in challenging places with stones, trees, muddy bottoms, etc. Plastic covers on the brakes help to reduce noise when towing the trailer. The brakes have a mechanism for reverse, and the hand brake comes as standard equipment.

The trailer is equipped with waterproof LED lights – no bulbs to replace. The entire electrical system is waterproof and does not need to be disconnected unless you are driving in water deeper than the connection socket of the car.

The adjustable planks on the BigPike trailer allow for the lowest possible boat parking with maximum comfort. The boat stays between the trailer wheels, making it easy to get in and out. There is a 900 kg Knott winch at the front of the trailer, with a 2-speed mechanism, in case you need to winch your boat in some occasional places. However, the trailer is generally designed for parking the boat using your outboard motor.

As an extra, the trailer is prepared with towing points where you can attach BoatBuckle straps or simple straps to tie the boat in the safest way – at the rear and front of the trailer.

The base setup for the BigPike trailer comes in a zinc finish, but you can ask us to paint the trailer in any color you desire. We will use strong and durable materials to ensure a long-lasting finish. Covering the frame with plastic or laminate is also possible.
